Has served as Visiting Scholar at the Center for the Study of Public Choice at Va. Tech, and as Earhart Foundation Visiting Fellow at the Center for Research in Government Policy and Business at the Graduate School of Management at the University of Rochester.

Advisor to The Liberty Coalition and its constituent groups at the University of Virginia; provides advice to Libertarian campus groups throughout the country.

Just completed term of service as
vice-chairman of the Libertarian Party of Virginia (1998-2000)

Serves as the
secretary of the Jefferson Area Libertarians
(Charlottesville, Virginia)
- Currently serves as a
member of the Libertarian National Committee,
and as the L.P. national campus coordinator.
Has been honored by L.P. for ballot access work.
Is a Life Member of the L.P.
- Served on the Platform Committee at the 1991 and 1998 conventions.
- Has conducted workshops on campus organizing at several state L.P.
conventions, and at the L.P. national conventions in 1987, 1989, 1991,
1996 and 1998.
Has undertaken three campus organizing tours throughout the country on
behalf of the Party.
- Served as a member of the Libertarian Party’s "Success ‘97"
and "Success ‘99" seminar faculty.
